CATHEDRAL QUARTER TRUST PRESENTS
FIONN'S WINDOW

Building on the success of last year's monumental sculptural event & digital trail 'The Ogham Grove' is back with Fionn's Window.

The pagans attributed mystical powers to the trees & their associated Ogham characters & often used them to divine their lives.

Divine Your Journey

FROM FIONN TO YOU

Our tribal ancestors lived in harmony with nature & it's cycles, understood their place in the environment, and held trees in reverence. The Ogham Tree alphabet was symbolic of this with each tree associated with different themes, across the magical, spiritual, practical and medicinal.

Irish hero Fionn Mac Cumhaill was a warrior chieftain and druid, and recognised that human life was only a small part of the larger rhythms around us.

Fionn's Window, sometimes referred to as Fionn's Shield, is the equivalent of a Tibetan mandala, a diagram of the psychic universe.

This 'window' can be marked and used for divining your journey, just like the 'I Ching'.

By using Fionn's Window you can reach your inner self and understand your place within the universe.

So join us in Divining Your Own Journey around the Cathedral Quarter Ogham plaque trail.

And please share your stories, journeys, fun & laughter on our social channels with the hashtags in the banner.

Fionn’s Window has been funded by Arts Council NI.
